I recently read for the first time Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. Though I have read two books by Christie before (both Poirot adventures), I was excited to read M.O.E. because of my love for masterpiece theater on PBS. I remember watching the Poirot films for the first time on Sunday nights with both my parents. Often leading up the Masterpiece Theatre at 9pm we would watch Keeping up Appearances, Inspector Lewis, and other amazing adaptations. My father bought some of the Poirot mini-movies from the late 80’s and early 90’s on VHS and I remember watching them endlessly when we lived abroad. I own a VHS player still just so I can watch these tapes, even though I know they are all on Netflix.
Here is a brief outline of the book I made while I was reading. Don’t worry, there are no spoilers.
I am excited to read The ABC Murders next also by Christie. Let me know if you guys have any future recommendations!
